I disagree, he is and will always be my idol. Obviously the television shows would not authorise his programme if he actually had a huge chance of dying. He is a straight edge bloke that loves to get things from life and doesnt use things like fridges.

I may be a woman, make necklaces, and know nothing about survival, but at least I can spell and put together complete sentences. I mean come on, you could at least spell intelligent right. Oh how I love when people berate others and end up making themselves look like the dumbass.

P.S. I find both of these shows humorous, but I figured there had to be some amount of staging going on.

man vs wild is awesome. maybe not that realstic but its entertaining, and thats what tv is for. to entertain people. if you want to learn how to really survive in the wild then go buy a documentary.
i haven’t seen survivorman but i saw Les strouds show, survive this. it was hilarious. i laughed the whole way through. i cant imagine survivorman can be much better.

I read a story last year in the about a guy that died from dehydration out Near Lake Mohave, AZ. he was off-roading and left his truck after it broke down (mistake 1). He left the main road and try to cut through the desert(mistake 2)They found his body with a cactus leaf in his hand. (doesn’t work, mistake 3) He was a regular watcher of Man Vs Wild.(mistake 4) I watched Bear’s show on desert survival and I could believe the amount of BS and false info I saw. knew then he would get someone killed. I am and avid outdoors men and have live in the northern AZ area for over ten years.

Have any of you climbed Mount Everest at age 23’? Or were you in the UK Special Forces, SAS. You people only wish you could do a10th of what Bear can do! You people that are disrespecting his talents are probably sitting around drinking a 12 pack with bag of Pork Rinds sitting on your beer bellies.

As for his camera crew they go thought a lot themselves to bring this amazing footage to you in a professional manner, going on location like they do is no walk in the park! I’m not going to disrespecting Survivorman but there is NO comparison to Bear Grylls Period!!!
